I hired him to remove a wall in my house and insert a structural beam, with drawings from a structural engineer.He reviewed the the drawings, gave me a price and time frame and we agreed. The work was mostly passable, although after the engineer came back to review, there were some problems and guidelines that were not followed. Upon alerting this to Gustavo, he was agreeable and made it right.He was very nice, professional and courteous.He made the situation right when he found it his guys made a couple of mistakes with a footer and some brick masonry.A good experience.

Gustavo (owner) and his crew did a professional job at a very competitive price. Only used the best materials, built to code, on schedule, and at quoted price. I will recommend H & I every time!I added a change order of sandwich rails in the midst of the work...it was no problem, no complaint, Gustavo got the new materials and knocked it out! Great job, we love our new deck!!!

My request to Gustavo was that he tell what he was going to do and when he was going to do it and to keep his word. It totally complied with my request.I've had enough experience in construction to know that his crew did a great job. I couldn't be more pleased with the large deck he replaced that was about 50' x 18 with stairs and landings. The change orders were reasonably priced.I would recommend without hesitation.

I recently had a deck torn down and rebuilt by H & I. Gustavo was my point of contact and kept me informed. He asked good questions and made sure he understood what I was looking for in the project. He was upfront with available options and wasn't pushy at all. He was accurate on the delivery of the materials, and the starting of the work. His team worked consecutive days and didn't disappear leaving me wondering what was going on. The deck looks fantastic. I asked them to lay the boards diagonal so there were no seams, add a new set of steps on one side, and fix the steepness of the original set of steps. I would definitely recommend H & I Decks and Remodeling for deck work.
